Brisbane seemed like a sweet city to live in, at least in the 'winter' (for heat wimps like me). The river going through the city and associated ferry system is beautiful, there is even rock climbing right in the middle of the city (Kangaroo Point), and there was a fun CBD (downtown) area with plenty of shops and restaurants. We walked around a lot, and visited the Koala Sanctuary where we got to pet a koala, and hand feed kangaroos! In a monstrous twist, we also had kangaroo steaks for dinner that night - delicious! :)

On Monday we got our camper van and headed to Frog Buttress to go climbing for a couple of days!

Also in this album are pictures from Mt Tibrogargan on our way up north, and a stop at Australia Zoo - we couldn't resist and had to see Steve Irwin's old stomping grounds.

		Cassowaries are amazing birds. We'd be lucky enough to see one in the wild!
