Thunderstorms in the afternoons scrapped our plans for going down to the East Side of the Sierra, so we stuck closer. Went down to Lover's Leap on Saturday, and climbed Psychedelic Tree and The Line, two classics right next to each other. Melissa's ankle is recovering reasonably, though she does use a roll of tape for support each time (I should buy stock in a tape company) :) The hike down proved hardest for it.

On Saturday afternoon we drove down to Woodfords and camped right next to One of These Days, supposedly the most classic 5.10 crack in Tahoe. Beautiful canyon and a place to camp too... we setup camp just as it started pouring rain and a thunderstorm moved through - awesome! The next morning we went up to One of These Days and shared the wall with a couple of other Tahoe folks - Damien and Rachel who were super friendly and cool. They started with One of These Days while we did Bush League, a nice 5.10a on the same wall, and toproped Little Miss Manners, 5.11d - a fun technical climb that would be a pretty challenging onsight lead. After they were done, we did One of These Days too and then the rain drops started coming down. By the time we retreated to the car it started raining harder, and it turned to a really intense thunderstorm with hail and everything as we drove around the west shore. We need the moisture!
