We teamed up with Mary for a climbing + paddling weekend. With climbing, camping, and kayaking gear for 3, the subaru was packed to the limit! On Saturday, we joined with a few others at Woodfords, and climbed some great single pitch routes. Chilly, but the sun made it nice. On Sunday we did the C-to-G on the South Fork of the American River at 3000+ cfs, where I got to try my new kayak (bought on Friday night, yay for craigslist and nice people!), and even managed to do my first combat roll (and first time on the river with no swims). Melissa flipped & rolled in the same rapid, the Barking Dog was vicious that day :) Awesome weekend, we made the most of it given the weather!
