Labour Day 2007
September 1-3, 2007

Parisa and I headed out to the Eastern Sierra on Saturday morning. We decided to try Bear Creek Spire as a day trip via the North Arete route (5.8). As it turned out, we were slow on the approach and underestimated the length of the climb/approach with our start, so we took our gear for a walk and only did the approach. There was at least one other party on the route ahead of us as well, which didn't make me terribly excited. Excuses, excuses... The same afternoon, we went sport climbing in Mammoth and did an awesome 5.10a by George Lake. Afterwards we had a feast of Mexican food and crashed, driving back to the Bay Area the following morning.

a quick mid-week dinner by parisa :) we paid for camping in an actual campground! the less than pleasant approach.
