Vince and Susan have been coming to Tsuniah Lake for 21 years and invited us, as well as other friends family on the trip this year. We had seen pictures and heard stories, but they do not do it justice - the place is magical! The Brebner family lives there year round, and in the summer time they run the business. The grass airstrip is in perfect shape (they even had a Citation land there!), the lodge and food were amazing, and there is plenty to do other than the fishing (hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, trails for running etc). However, the fishing is indeed amazing - the first time, I cast my fishing rod 5 times and caught 5 fish! All of them beautiful wild rainbow trout (they do not stock the lake, it's all wild fish, there's a very healthy population due to the lack of people mostly). It has to be one of the premier fly-in destinations in North America if you like mountains and wilderness! There are more bears and bald eagles living there than people... :)

We loved taking our 9 month old twins there and can't wait to return, especially when they start to fish on their own!
